Calla lily wedding invitations are a popular form of a flower
invitation. It's rather ironic, however, that the calla itself is
neither a lily nor an actual flower. The trumpet shaped blossom is
actually made up of modified leaves and is recognized worldwide as a
timeless symbol of purity, exuding an air of sophistication in every
setting. The Calla has long been a favorite of artists, connoisseurs and
brides. You may recognize the image of a lily from its use in many
paintings, specifically works of art from Diego Rivera, for example, The
Flower Vendor. Calla lilies grow in warm tropical climates and while
being somewhat expensive, they make an impressive visual, worthy of your
respect. They are also noted for having a long vase life making them
very popular for use in elegant, sophisticated wedding arrangements. The
lily is widely cultivated for ornamental and cut flowers. You will
often find calla used in bridal bouquets or table centerpieces at
weddings. The flower is noticeable for its showy white, yellow, pink and
 purple flower clusters.
